Multiple mistakes mean incompetence

No they don’t.

Other reasons for multiple mistakes:

Stupidly designed system.

Badly trained person.

Overworked person.

Problems outside work.

Unsupported person. No peer review. No teaming.

In the wrong job.

In fight-or-flight mode trapped in a blaming culture that brands every mistake as incompetence.


If it’s a genuinely incompetent person, which is rare, then WTF is wrong with your recruiting process? Stop blaming people.



P.S. Managers are people too. And they’re trapped in the same systems. Only under more scrutiny.
