Three groups of technology users

I assert (without data to support it) that uses of technology can be divided into three groups:

about a third of the population understands and enjoys technical change; a third copes with technical change without enjoying it by understanding as much as they have to; and a third does not understand and does not enjoy changing the systems that they use because they have to.
If you’re in the first group it is very easy to lose sight of the experience of the second and third groups.
