Amidst positive signs of a Second Enlightenment, there’s also a massive anti-woke backlash right now, in case you hadn’t noticed.
At Teal Unicorn we are committed to creating “Better results, better lives, better society” in the workplace. Our strategy has now pivoted to lighting up as many individual organisations as possible, to keep the flame alive in the face of the prevailing storm. But how?
In other words, think global but act local. There’s not much we can do about all the bald white men tearing the world down (Trunt, Putler, Musk, Bibi, Bezos, Rogan, Zuck, Koch, … and most “founder bros” we’ve ever seen), but we can make work better for individual orgs. We’ve demonstrated that – whilst it isn’t easy – we have found what we think is the easiEST way to advance an org towards better ways. 20 spectacular successes in a row and counting.
We want to freely share that. There is a mass of latent productivity just going to waste, that would change rhe world. And there is the social evolution that is taking one step backward right now, we need to keep it alive.
How? Just telling people doesn’t work. In the blizzard of marketing bulls41t and a thousand individual “thought leaders” that is the internet, we are one voice in the storm.
The last thing that the world needs is yet another “institute” (we have one already anyway) or “body of knowledge” or “framework” (got those) or regular chat (BTDT). We’ve written books and run courses. We publish it all openly on the internet. I’m running out of ideas. We want to withdraw from the internet a little right now anyway, it’s going to get ugly.
I welcome suggestions on how to get the word out one boss at a time. CEO, CIO, whoever is the apex exec, they’re the key. How do we find the good ones, the ones who want to shine that light of humanity, liberation, and adaptability?
