There is a lot of energy being expended on discussing the future of Agile (and lamenting it’s current state ).
The biggest trend is the embrace of agility outside the software context. Organisational agility is huge.
Within software it is a return to roots, to values. I don’t like the judgmental dogmatic way that is being done, but the direction is good
More than both those, though, there is a new enlightenment brewing of which agility is only a part. We haven’t found a good word for it. “Agility” is used but the word is being asked to hold too much. We call it new ways of thinking.
It leads to the ways of working (back to software) which we call Human Systems Adaptability.
