We are a collective. It’s in the name: “organisation”. Some sectors like IT are riddled with prima donna thinking, solo operators convinced of their own genius, and equally judgemental of others. This is one endemic cultural deficiency that we must address.
The best results are produced by people who can work together. This means a variety of talents at a variety of levels, collaborating to each be their best in contributing to a combined result. The purpose of an organisation is to be better together than we are apart. Each talent needed can be contributed by a subset of the group. Others can learn and grow. Diversity grows our capabilities. Together we flourish and succeed.
