What Open Work requires from you. It’s not ALL on your bosses.
For Open to succeed you need:
Integrity, honesty, transparency. If you cheat the system, it won’t work. You will be back to command-and-control. Be adult.
Teamwork, sharing, caring. We are all in the same boat, rowing in the same direction. We thrive or fail together. Join in, cooperate.
Focus on why, what is the value, how to succeed, the needs of the customer. Do what is important, or get.out of the way.
Trust. Build trust for others, and help them trust you. Remember: trust must be earned, and is quickly lost.
Positive energy. A desire for it to succeed, a belief that it can. Love for others, and patience for those still needing to be convinced.
