It’s not women who should be adapting

HBR wrote about how women need to be more.confident and assertive to get equal treatment  It’s what women have to do, not what they should have to do.Nobody seems to consider the possibility that people (more often women) who behave collaboratively and kindly will lose out in a competitive power-based culture. I don’t see why we are suggesting they lower themselves to fit in.

The real problem is not that women are not tough enough, it’s that organisations are not female enough. Dana Ardi nailed it in The Fall of the Alphas. Except she didn’t, the alpha male managers are still very much with us.
