Gut instinct

When should we go with our gut response, and when should we think about it?

Kahneman nailed this in Thinking Fast and Slow.
And it can be related to Cynefin framework.
When you are in a simple familiar situation, or in crisis where you have no time to think, then your gut instinctual responses are a handy heuristic to save time and energy.
But they are always(?) to some degree wrong. They contain biases.
Where it is important to be right, where the situation is unfamiliar, where we have time to think about it, we should use our brains.
