Moving from a computable causal paradigm to a complex emergent one is such a profound reshaping of ones own brain, I’m not surprised most people fumble. I’ve been wrestling with it for a decade and I still have a long long ways to go.
I’m helped by immersing in Vietnamese professional culture, which is not totally aligned with Western empirical logical models, in ways that I’m still coming to understand dimly. Even without understanding the Vietnamese Way, it drags me out of my Western models, which also helps me stand back to see complexity better.
